game is filled with newbs
this game has more newbs than i have ever seen in any game i have ever played. They just ruin the whole game play, i wont even team with real ppl anymore. u invite someoen and they expect a full team in two minutes or they leave, or they die once and they leave, etc, no one knows how to play anymore.

Aaaahhhhhh..... too bad. Please whine somewhere else. <_<
What do you think you're going to accomplish with this topic? Will all the 'newbs' vanish? Will they become smart in an instant?

Your describing "noobs" not "newbs". There is a difference, it is just that most people don't realize / comprehend that difference.
And yeah, I dislike the "noobish" people too. On the other hand I have nothing against "newbies", in fact they are quite often more fun to play with than many experienced players.

First off Newb\Noob is a racist term in my honest to God opinion. Second off EVERYONE starts off new to Guild Wars. Yes some people do dumb shit but many times they do it just to piss us off.

newbs and n00b are still the same thing jsut different ways to pronounce them, and its not fun to team with them if u get 2 mins into the mission and they all leave and its rinse repeat

If you believe that, then my participation in this conversation is over. Perhaps it would be more clear if I say that I equate "noob" with "elitist". The only term I buy that describes a new player is "newbie" or "newb". All other "leet" like attempts at describing a new player equates to elitism as far as I'm concerned.
Noobs quit when they die. They can't handle DP. A newbie on the other hand won't. However it is possible to be in both new to the game (newbie) and act like a snob (noob).

Newbs are people new to the game. Noob is a deragatory term used on people that you don't like.

Wrong. A noob is someone who is annoying/stupid, someone who thinks they are quote, unquote "l33t"
While a Newb, is someone who is new, but not stupid, normally the only thing they do is ask people for help, and things like that... But there's a HUGE difference.

Funny, what you describe I have never had happen to me by and newbs, or noobs, or whatever you want to call them. But the "elite" players do that stuff all the time, because they have 2 lvl 20's or are r3 and know everything. So what you're trying to say is you are a god at this game then snipedyougood? That you have never messed up on any mission, quest or bonus? That you set out to do everything you accomplish on the first try. God I hate egotistical people like you. Its morons like you that think they are some "1337" players that make the game no fun. Not any of Anets nerfs, not the bots, not even the newbs. Players like you. So do the world a favor, STFU and go find another game to play.

I think "game is filled with assholes" is a better topic title... and making a topic to complain about them won't do anything.

Giga I know that but still I find the use of them so derogatory. When I played Mohaa Online the words never bugged me one iota until I started playing GW. Now whenever I hear both words it gets under my skin. I have had a few scrapes with people calling me Newb\Noob so yea I hate those 2 words. There is a difference between being a dumb shit on purpose and making mistakes.

The term no matter how you spell it means the same. And I agree it's a racist type of term or insult just like gay is. Those 2 terms and others are thrown around by ignorant people who can't express themselves intelligently. If someone is new, attempt to teach them or leave and find a better group or form your own. How easy is that? Too easy, but they can't seem to think of things like that since they are so worked up by nothing.

Why is it that these antagonists are usually the ones that just joined Guru today and have less than 10 posts?
